Are you passionate about social media, content creation, and digital marketing? We're looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our marketing team for a 6-month internship.

About CNP Pet Nutrition

CNP Pet Nutrition is an award-winning companion animal specialist consultancy and product-development firm helping pet brands develop high-quality pet foods, treats and nutraceuticals backed by nutritional science and industry expertise. From formulation and product development to Act 36 regulatory compliance, QA and technical consulting, we help brands bring better canine, feline and equine products to market with confidence.


As a Marketing Intern, you will support our Head of Marketing across three different brands, gaining valuable hands-on experience in brand marketing, content creation, social media management, email marketing, and digital campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, develop practical marketing skills, and gain exposure to multiple brand strategies within a fast-paced industry.

This internship offers the potential to transition into a permanent Marketing Assistant/Marketing Coordinator role in 2027, subject to performance and business requirements.

•    Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays
•    Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
•    10 hours per week | 40 hours per month

•    On-site | Located in Durbanville
•    Paid internship opportunity

The Ideal Candidate Will Meet The Following Requirements

•    3rd Year students currently studying towards a Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Branding, Graphic Design or a related field. Recently graduated (within their first year after graduation) are also encouraged to apply.
•    Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing
•    Previous marketing, digital marketing, volunteer, freelance, or personal project experience is advantageous
•    A creative portfolio or examples of content creation abilities will be advantageous

Software Skills Required

•    Canva
•    CapCut (Desktop & Mobile)
•    Microsoft Office Suite
•    Advantageous: experience using Meta Business Suite, Wix, and LinkedIn

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing
•    Design and create social media posts and carousel content
•    Edit videos and reels for social media platforms
•    Schedule and publish content across platforms
•    Assist with community engagement and platform management
•    Support ad creation and management
•    Potential involvement in copywriting and content planning

Email Marketing & Content
•    Design and create email newsletters
•    Schedule and distribute email campaigns
•    Potential involvement in copywriting and content ideation

Marketing Support
•    Capture and organise data for reporting
•    Monitor key marketing metrics and lead generation channels
•    Assist with ad hoc design and marketing requests
